« Oh what a beautiful morning | Main | Made by God »

Langres is slightly too far from the autoroute to be unmissable; but the town layout, fortifications and amazing cathedral(spires visible from highway) are still beautiful. The atmosphere, however, is similar to that which you describe elsewhere in Lorraine - rather impoverished and desolate - in need of a revival. We found one ok place to eat and stay one night (driving from UK to Cannes) in the upper town (Lion d'Or).
Very happy to have missed the steaming argument. XX
