Tuesday morning 7 am at Ellie's house in Kingsbridge Devon.
I have just read my neice Rosie's graduation book, it is quite beautiful and hauntingly sad her photographs are beautiful and her words are moving. Well done Rosel Posel I say, for your book The Ellen Tree, I love it.
Ellie's house stands, a pleasure on a hill over looking Kingsbridge and looking onto the beyond. We are in south Devon, rolling hills, estuaries, creeks, salt wind,, long beaches, ferns, rocks, old elegant trees, strong sturdy ones. The breeze scatters their leaves on the beach in moments of oranges, russets and reds, the sea surges to gather and display, fragmented colours in ways that are pleasing to her. The leaves participate and play down the length of the waterside glistening in the sun. Floating on the ripple of a wave and directing my eyes to the patterns made in the sand by pebbles and seaweed. I wonder why I bother painting when nature does it so well herself.
I am on holiday at Ellie's house, and I have a feeling that Ellie maybe having a holiday too. It is so perfect here. Ellie's new house is amazing, I love it! The countryside is glorious, and stunning. We are having long talks between sisters, who don't see each other often enough. I am feeling happiness around me and inside me.
We went shopping yesterday morning in Kingsbridge, and all the shop keepers there are so proud of their shops and their local produce. The farmer of the carrots may well be called Tony, and peter may have grown the potatoes. You could all them the Pride of Kingsbridge. I had the best cappucino ever in my life at the local cafe/restaurant. We are also eating Michelin star meals cooked by Ellie. All in all this long dreamed of holiday is turning out to be magic in the making of joy, relaxation and bliss.
Thank you Elle!
Ha Ha my pleasure...having the best time too xxxx
