I have left St Emilion, too far from home and from my loved ones beautiful though it was.
I got back on the wednesday a great train trip from Bordeaux, Bordeaux is quite beautiful if ever you think of going there. Up at 4 in the morning I waved good bye to the Chateau on the hill, lit up by the light of the moon, then an eight hour train jouney home, to be welcomed by Jack and David. Then the whole family. I tought a full days provencale cookery course on the saturday, had an Easter party for 25 on the sunday and cooked a dinner party for 9 on the tuesday.
I am now on go slow. Trying to fill my empty mind with a few interesting things and gather up the bits and peices of my life. I am reading de Kooning and American Master by Mark Stevens and Annalyn Swan. I admire people whose passion is so great they don't let the fear of life interupt their creative flow. Fear is always getting in my way and my creative life is at a virtual stand still and has found it's way all heaped together in a small dark place where there is no place to paint and the darkness takes away the joy of life. What kind of message am I giving myself?
So it is time to stir up the creative juices and let them flow again. Be positive one step at a time, take life by the horns and all the rest of those well worn cliches.
An illustration for the children's book my sister and I are writing.
